Lynx, Storm play series finale Tuesday at Target Center

Lynx Top Storm Lindsay Whalen scored 18 points and Rebekkah Brunson added a double-double as the Lynx defeated the Storm 78-70 in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals on Friday.

Inspiring Women: Sona Mehring On Friday, during Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals against Seattle, the Lynx honored Sona Mehring, the founder and CEO of CaringBridge.org, as part of the team’s Inspiring Women series.

A Fitting Return When Katie Smith left Minnesota in 2005, she held the Lynx’s all-time scoring and assists records. Those both fell this year to Seimone Augustus and Lindsay Whalen, but as she returned with the Storm for Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals the respect the organization has for her is still there.
