Vikings LB Eric Kendricks wins Rookie of the Month award

Eden Prairie, MN (October 29, 2015) – Minnesota Vikings LB Eric Kendricks has been named October’s NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month.
In three games during the month of October, Kendricks posted 20 total tackles, 4.0 sacks, 5 TFLs and 5 QBH. His 4.0 sacks during the month was tied for fifth in the league and first among all rookies. With all 4.0 of his sacks coming in October, the former Bruin is also currently tied for the league lead in sacks among all rookies (LB Hau’oli Kikaha, New Orleans).
The 2014 Butkus Award winner becomes the third Vikings defensive player to win the award and first Vikings defensive rookie to win the award since 2003 (Kevin Williams, DT).
Kendricks, the 45th overall selection in the 2015 NFL Draft, currently ranks first on the team with 6 TFLs and second in sacks (4.0) and tackles (35).
