Vikes Blair Walsh named Player of the Week

Eden Prairie, MN (December 30, 2015) – Minnesota Vikings K Blair Walsh was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Weekafter booting the Vikings into the playoffs, while connecting on 5-of-5 FGs, including two 50+ yard FGs in Minnesota’s 49-17 win over the New York Giants.

This marks the 5th time in Walsh’s career that he has been named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week, the most in Vikings history.
Walsh connected on FGs of 32, 52, 22, 53 and 27 yards, accounting for 19 of the Vikings 49 points.
Walsh is the 2nd Viking to be named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week this season and the 8th player to receive the honor under Special Teams Coordinator Mike Priefer.
