MNUFC VOLUNTARY INDIVIDUAL WORKOUTS

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. (May 27, 2020) – Minnesota United players continue individual, voluntary workouts at the NSC. MNUFC returned to the NSC to train on May 12.

On settling into a new training routine… [ESP] “Bueno, realmente, si es bueno poder entrenar ya con el grupo, ver a los compañeros. Es muy satisfactorio, obviamente, de tratar de comenzar de nuevo y con la esperanza de aun más todavía de poder a comenzar a competir y estar con la gran satisfacción de poder de retribuir a todo lo que se hecho en este tiempo de cuarentena.”

[ENG] “Well, really it’s been great to train with the group and see your teammates. It’s satisfactory, obviously, to start over again with the hope that we can start to compete again and to be with the great satisfaction to reward ourselves from the work we’ve put in during the quarantine.”

On the benefits of these sessions versus what he had been doing on his own… [ESP] “Hay muchas cosas que son positivas en cuento a entrenar en el campo. La verdad es que en la casa tenemos poco espacio, por ahí los trabajos no son tan intensos entonces se hace un poco más fácil acá, entrenar. El campo, realmente en buen condiciones también así que es muy lindo y obviamente nos hace muy feliz.”

[ENG] “There a lot of positives by returning to the field. Honestly, it’s difficult at home, with minimal space, the workouts aren’t as intense so it’s much easier here. The field is in great condition, it’s beautiful and it makes us happy.”

On being so far away from family during the COVID-19 pandemic… [ESP] “Uno hace ciertos sacrificios con todo esto. La verdad que se extraña la familia, no voy a negar que también espero verlos pronto. Es muy triste todo lo que está pasando, pero también así es cuestión de afrontar y ser realista a cuanto a lo que respecta esta situación. Así que solamente me queda esperar y esperar que se resuelva todo esto para un buen final.”

[ENG] “You sometimes have to make certain sacrifices in all this. The truth is I do miss my family very much, I won’t deny that I hope to see them soon. Everything that’s happening is very sad but we also have to face the situation and be realistic. So all that’s left for me is to wait, wait that this gets resolved with a happy ending.”
