Minnesota defeated UCLA 3-2 in 10 innings in the NCAA baseball tournament Saturday night at Siebert Field.

Gopher’s 3rd baseman Micah Coffey drove home the game winning run with an RBI double in the 10th inning scoring Terrin Vavra.
“It felt really good to come through” said Coffey about his gamewinner. “I was just trying to head up there and find a pitch up in the zone that I could hit. I ultimately found a pitch up and I was able to put a good enough swing on it.”
UCLA will now face Gonzaga Sunday afternoon at 1pm in an elimination game and the winner of that game will advance to play Minnesota Sunday night at 6pm.
