BROOKFIELD, Ill. – The Don Hansen Football Committee has released the 2018 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-Super Region 4 squad, with Concordia-St. Paul redshirt freshman Marcus Haskins being named Super Region 4 Freshman of the Year while he was joined on the First Team by sophomore defensive end Chris Garrett.

The two selections to the First Team matches the 2005 season when the program had a defensive lineman and cornerback honored with Eric Power and Antonio Brown for the second NSIC Championship campaign. Haskins and Garrett make the First Team for the first time since Zach Moore was honored in 2012.

The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on August 29, 2010. The Brookfield, Illinois native started and published Don Hansen’s National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988. The publication began selecting All-Region squads in 2003.

The First and Second Team selections advance to a national ballot from which the 2018 Don Hansen NCAA
