Vikings lose at home to Bears

After getting a go ahead touchdown on a 4th quarter interception by defensive back Antoine Winfield, the Minnesota Vikings lost to the Chicago Bears Sunday 19-16. The Bears rallied for the gamewinning touchdown when Rex Grossman found Rasheed Davis for a 24 yard touchdown pass and catch with 1:53 to go in the game. Minnesota had one last chance to tie or win but the Vikings ran the ball on 3rd and long and went deep on fourth and short to end the threat.

Grossman finished the day 23-of-41 for 278 yards and one touchdown. Brad Johnson was 21-of-31 for the Vikings while Chester Taylor totaled 89 yards of offense including 74 yards on the ground.

The win keeps the Bears unbeaten as they improve to 3-0 while the Vikings fall to 2-1. Minnesota has now gone two straight games without scoring an offensive touchdown, their last coming in their opening week victory over the Redskins. Minnesota travels to Buffalo in week four while the Bears host the defending NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks.
