One year after dealing Randy Moss to the Oakland Raiders, the Minnesota Vikings have now parted ways with the other half of their longtime dynamic duo on offense. Quarterback Daunte Culpepper, originally drafted 11th overall by the Vikes back in 1999, is now a member of the Miami Dolphins.

The deal comes just days before Culpepper was due to receive a six million dollar contract bonus and just days after Culpepper demanded a trade or termination of his contract.

Culpepper suffered a season ending knee injury last year and underwent surgery to repair torn ligaments in his right knee. The Vikings reportedly will receive a 2nd round draft choice in 2007 in exchange for Culpepper.

Culpepper was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2004. But last year threw 12 interceptions and just six touchdown passes before suffering the season ending injury on October 30. Brad Johnson, who led the Vikings to a 7-2 finish a fter taking over for Culpepper is now the Vikes number one quarterback.
