The third time proved to be the charm for the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday (January 9) as they rolled over the Green Bay Packers 31-17 to earn a spot in the Divisional Playoffs Sunday (January 16) against the Eagles.

Minnesota built up an early 17-0 lead putting the Packers in a hole they never climbed out of all day. Green Bay did cut the deficit to 17-10 in the 2nd quarter, but Minnesota answered on a Daunte Culpepper to Nate Burleson touchdown to extend the lead to 24-10. Green Bay cut it to 24-17 early in the 4th quarter, but Randy Moss's 2nd touchdown of the day sealed the deal as Culpepper found Moss with 10:26 to go to make it 31-17 for the final margin of victory.

Minnesota opened the scoring on their very first possession when Culpepper was flushed out of the pocket and found Moe Williams who ran 68 yards for the touchdown to make it 7-0 Minnesota. After Brett Favre threw the first of his 4 interceptions on the day, Culpepper found Moss from 20 yards out to make it 14-0 just 5 minutes into the game.

On the day Culpepper threw for 285 yards and 4 touchdowns. Favre threw for 216 yards but was picked off 4 times.
