Vikings home winning streak ends with a thud

The defense couldn't stop the Giants, the offense couldn't solve the Giants and the special teams missed on a field goal as New York thoroughly dominated Minnesota at the Dome on Sunday (October 31) 34-13. The Halloween disaster dropped the Vikings to 5-and-2 on the season heading into a two game road swing.

Michael Bennett and Nate Burleson scored Minnesota's two meaningless touchdowns in the 4th quarter. Randy Moss was again limited to just a handful of plays because of a hamstring injury. Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper was 24 of 41 for 230 yards and a touchdown, but he threw two costly interceptions. Minnesota was held to 93 yards rushing on the day. The Vikings home record dropped to 3-and-1 with the loss.
