Vikes hang on for 27-22 win over Bears
Another big day out of Daunte Culpepper and Randy Moss led the Vikings to their 2nd win of the season on Sunday (September 26) as they beat the Bears at the Metrodome 27-22. Culpepper threw for 360 yards and two touchdowns, both to Randy Moss. Moss had 119 yards receiving to go along with his two touchdowns. The Vikings also got a productive day out of running back Onterrio Smith who rushed for 94 and caught 6 passes for another 104 yards out of the backfield.
The Vikings left the field a wounded unit as center Matt Birk and linebackers Chris Claiborne and EJ Henderson all went down with injuries. Birk and Claiborne might be ready for the Vikes next game, Oct. 10 at Houston, but Henderson will be out longer anywhere from two to six weeks.
