Twins roll towards 3rd straight title
Whether they have the right stuff to win an American League title is very much up for debate, but the Twins latest roll has them on the verge of coasting towards their third straight American League Central Division title. After beating the Indians in the final game of a three game set in Cleveland, the Twins came home to take two of three from the Yankees before sweeping the Indians. After their win Monday (August 23) in Texas, the Twins found themselves 8 games up on Cleveland and 9 ahead of the White Sox in the division. Corey Koskie is putting up player of the week type numbers having homered 6 times in 10 games. He's also hitting .405 with 10 RBI in that same span. Meanwhile, the Indians have now dropped 8 games in a row since beating the Twins on August 14 when they pulled within one game of first place.
