Vikings beat Cardinals in pre-season opener
Randy Moss caught a 48-yard touchdown pass, and Marcus Robinson had a 55-yard reception as the Minnesota Vikings opened up the NFL pre-season with a 23-6 win over the Arizona Cardinals. The game marked the return of former Vikings coach Dennis Green to the NFL. It also was the NFL debut of Minneaoplis native Larry Fitzgerald Jr who was the Cardinals first pick in this year's draft. The game also marked the debut of Vikings linebacker and former pro wrestler Brock Lesnar in a Viking uniform. There was bad news for Minnesota as defensive back Brian Williams suffered a severe knee sprain that will keep him out at least until the regular season opener on September 12.
