Wolves even series with LA (game 2)

Kevin Garnett scored 24 and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Minnesota Timberwolves raced out to a 14-point halftime lead en route to an 89-71 win over the Lakers in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday (May 23). Sam Cassell left the game in the first minute because of a back injury, but Darrick Martin came off the bench to post 15 points and added six assists. The series shifts to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4. Wally Szczerbiak added 16 points off the bench while Latrell Sprewell scored 17 points and handed out 8 assists.
