Timberwolves Roll On

Even without all-star guard Sam Cassell in the lineup, the Minnesota Timberwolves pulled away from the streaking New Jersey Nets on Wednesday February 25 at Target Center. Troy Hudson got the start and and scored 29 points to lead the Wolves to an 81-68 win. The Wolves victory stopped the Nets winning streak at 14 games. It also marked the first loss after a 13-and-0 start for new Nets head coach Lawrence Frank. Kevin Garnett threw in 18 points and grabbed 9 rebounds while Wally Szczerbiak scored 14 points off the bench for Minnesota.
