Opening Day for The Minnesota Score Minnesota’s premier all sports magazine launches March 7 , 2002.

(MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA - March 4, 2002) - Finally, there is a sports magazine highlighting the best of Minnesota sports from the high school to professional level and everything in between. The Minnesota Score is a comprehensive new sports publication devoted entirely to Minnesota athletes and Minnesota sports. We are proud to announce the upcoming launch on March 7, 2002 of this unique quarterly.

Minnesota sports, whether at the amateur or professional level, have maintained a national presence over the years and it is the goal of The Minnesota Score to provide insight and entertainment to its readers. This is achieved through in-depth interviews and Q&As with national sports figures as well as high school athletes and coaches. There are humorous columns, previews of major Minnesota sports events and feature stories on everything from the Twins, Vikings, Wild, Timberwolves, and Gophers to indoor go-kart racing. Each issue will look at the upcoming season of sports in Minnesota. Complementing the editorial are great photos and illustrations, a calendar of events and complete sports schedules.

The strong editorial content was developed by veteran staff members and contributing writers, all with a broad sports background. The Minnesota Score is the creation of a husband and wife team, Dawn and Wally Langfellow, who have 29 years combined experience in sports broadcasting and magazine publishing. Wally’s extensive knowledge of sports is complemented by Dawn’s keen eye for editorial content.
